REVEALED IN A DREAM

DEAD MAN'S POSSESSIONS. MYSTERY AT OKOROIRB. MATAMATA, Jan. 31. D Jtails have come to light in Togard to the remains of a man found at Okoroire, som 3 six months after death, and in regard to k-hich it has so far been found impossibli to establish identity, or the means whereby he met his death. Mr Ferry, a farmer who found the body, stat !S that some time after the body was foul d his wife had a dream that there wes a w itch on the spot, which, by the way. is witl in a hundred yards of the Ferry homestea 1. No special notice was taken o: r the drei m, but some days ago the story was rela «d by the Ferrys to a lady visitor from Auckland. The visitor expressed a wish to see the place where the body had been foui d, and suggested that a further search be < onducted to see whether "dreams really com 3 true." Mr Ferry states that a tfioroug l search of the surroundings brought to 1 ght a watch, a silver chain, a pair of golc -rimmed pince-nez in a case, a twoblac ed pocket knife, a cigarette holder, a rubl >er tobacco pouch, and a small black com >. Mr Ferry also states that now he reca Is what sounded to him like a motor car accident opposite tie place about April last at about seven o clock one evening. The car. he says, was in the same position for lome while but ultimately moved on. The striking feature of the story is the find ng of the articles mentioned after a oare'ul search of the place had befn made by 'he police when, the body was first four. d. Even now it is not surmised that any of the property found will lead to iden ;ification. There was originally a mnk *r's name on the pince-nez case, but this has been obliterated by exposure to the weather. Tl e police are reticent in regard to the deve iopments.
