GOLD COINS.
ROYAL MINT AT WORK. LONDON, Jan. 17. The St?r states that, although gold has been withdrawn from circulation since 1914, the Mint is now making gold coins. This step is believed to be part of a scheme to restore the gold basis, which, according to the opinion of city financiers, will first be applied only to international trade.
