SACRED PARK.
SYDNEY, Jan. 23. "Half a crown, in default six hours' light labour," was tho penalty inflicted on Daniel Ryan, aged 38, at the Central Police Court to-day, when he was charged with offensive behaviour. A constable said, that Ryan was drinking beer in Philip Park, near the main thoroughfare, and declined to move when asked' to. "He wasn't making a noise, or anything like that?" asked Mr Gale, "No. He waa just drinking the "Well, that's not a very, serious offence," remarked the magistrate.
