Miss E Wilkinson, Labour M.P., for Middlesbi ough, said that Labour women felt s 'pretty sick" when they read Mis Snowden's declaration at Montreal that the Royal Family had endeared itself to Labour. Mr Ramsay MacDonald's political leadership had been the worst in modern times, and Mrs Snowden wanted slappping. Referring to her statement that the Throne was established for ever, Miss Wilkinson said that Mrs Snowden had lost her head because tho King had happened to say to her, "How d'ye dor'' There was still a mass of" wome :i determined to end the theatrical glitter accompanying the opening o I Parliament.
