MARINE COOK’S AWARD.

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Nov. 29. Judgment was delivered by the Arbitration Court to-day in respect of the application by the Union Steamship Co. for an amendment of the marine cooks’ and stewards’ award. Tho court stated that its intention was to make similar provision for weekly time olf in the seamen’s, stewards’ and galley staffs’ award, and this had been done. The court had not inadvertently inserted anything that it did not intend to insert, nor had it inadvertently omitted anything that it did not intend to omit. It had therefore no jurisdiction to amend the award in the direction suggested.
