LICENSING COMMITTEE.
Quarterly meeting.
Tim quarterly meeting- of the Licensing Committee was held at the Courthouse today, Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., presiding. On the bench; also, wore Messrs J. M. Johnston, \V. F. Durward, W. R. Birnie, A. J. Graham, and (j. N. Clausen. Sergeant Power represented the police. An application by Helena Gaipin, licensee of the Family Hotel, for a permanent transfer of the license to herself from the estate of the late Elizabeth Anne Byrne, was granted. Mr Hurley appeared in support of the application. The bench pointed out that no gas or electric light was provided in the bedrooms of the hotel, and it was expected that this, and any other hotel in like case, would provide either electric lig.. or gas before the next annual meeting of the committee.
