The Rohe Potae Ladies’ Club held its monthly meeting at Messrs Collinson and Cunninghame’s tea rooms yesterday afternoon. A pleasant social j lol ,r ’was spent, musical items adding to the enjoyment of the proceedings. The meeting marked the close of the first half-year’s operations ot the club, and that it has been successful was demonstrated by the announcement that a net profit ol £lO liad been made. The 1925 syllabus and a list of speakers are now being compiled and will be in printed form m time for the February meeting.
The attention of readers is drawn to an announcement in another column of the eleventh annual flower show to he held in the Ashliurst Town Hall on Thursday, December 4th. The show is to be opened by Mr J. A. Nash, AI.P., at 2.30 p.m. r In the evening a short programme will he contributed bv visitors from 1 aimerstun North. ‘ This year’s show promises to be a great success, owing to the favourable weather prevailing recently. Copies of the schedule are obtainable from Mr A. W. ’1 rass or the Corner Store. Awliluu st. ibe show is under the auspices of the St. Mary s Anglican Church.
