CONFERENCE IN LONDON

Representatives of the associations in Canada, Australia, New Zealand nnd South Africa, in addition to members of the Commercial Travellers’ Association of Britain and Ireland, attended tlie first congress of the Empire Commercial Travellers’ Association, which was opened in London this morning. Air J. Davies, of Australia, rend a paper on the economic value and status of the commercial traveller. Air F. W. Alanton, of New Zealand, said that the commercial traveller there in many eases spent his spare time in prospecting and opening up the country. The Lord Alayor and Lord Kylsant cordially welcomed the delegates. —A. and N.Z. cable.
