ADVENTURES OF A CONSTABLE.

After a chase extending over hundreds of miles, an aboriginnl who has been committed for trial on a _charge of murder, lias been captured. He had evaded capture for many mouths. Constable Giles set out after him with no provisions of swag, and accompanied by a black boy. When his clothing was worn out the constable proceeded naked with his skin blackened like a native’s. He finally reached the camp of the fugitive and effected his arrest.—Press Association.
