- RACES AT GISBORNE. Per Press Association. GISBORNE, July 24. The Gisborne steeplechase meeting opened in fine weather and with a good attendance. Results:— Park Hurdles, 1£ miles.—Waioeka Jack, 9.12, 1; Birka, 9.12, 2; \Vhaliolco, 11.9, 3. All started. Won by five lengths, eight lengths between second and third. Time, 3.24.
W AIM ATE HUNT MEETING. WAIMATE, July 24. For the Wnimate Hunt meeting there is a good attendance. The course is in good order. Results:— Studholmp Hurdles, 1 mile 5 furlongs.—Agnola, 9.G, 1; Pomposa, 9.0, 2; Hiero, 9.3, 3. All started. "Won by two lengths. Time, 3.4.
