If such a game could be arranged, it was intended to endeavour to have a W’cllington team play them in Palmerston North. Tho date not being required for Rugby fixtures, tho use of the ground was granted the Association authorities. All' Young also mentioned that tho local Dawbers Club’ would he meeting the Marist (Wellington) Club in the Chatham Cup competition, and although it was understood that tho visiting team would prefer a Saturday, it was the opinion of the local authorities that the advantage of stand accommodation for the public would be a determining factor. If tho union would ba prepared to give Wednesday, August 6, as a tentative date, an endeavour would be made to arrange the matter. Following a brief discussion on the question of reserving a date for the final of the primary schools competition, it was decided to grant the Soccer Association tho use of the ground subject to the consent of tho A. and P. authorities.
