RESOLUTIONS CARRIED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 12. _ The Dominion executive of the Council of the Churches of Christ met here, when representatives were present from every area. A resolution was carried "that this committee of representatives of the Associated Churches of Christ enters its emphatic protest against any further racing permits being granted and calls upon the Government to enforce the law against bookmakers, and further asks that an early opportunity be given to tho people to veto the totalisator."

A resolution was also passod against "tho corporate control proposition which is being circulated in the interests of the liquor trade," and declaring that "(I) corporate control would be entirely unacceptable as a solution of the problem of the liquor traffic; (2) that if corporate control should bocornc operative it would be the means of more securely shackling the liquor traffic upon the community without giving an assurance of any abatement of its evils; (3) that there has not yet been taken in New Zealand an equal and unequivocal vote on the continuance of tho liquor traffic in that temperance reform has always been handicapped by either an artificial majority or a three-issue ballot paper; (4) that provision should be made for a two-issue ballot paper for use at the next licensing poll, and that members of Parliament representing the electorates within the area are hereby urged to use their best endeavours to secure a measure of justice." Copies of these resolutions are to be sent to the Prime Minister and Messrs Wilford and Holland.
