At present they are enjoying unprecedented prosperity. rhe suspicions ol tho Customs authorities wero aroused, owing to the inexplicable decrease m tho legitimate saie of spirits, lollowing the reduction, in oi the number of coastguards on the channel coastline. . , Heccntlv, police investigating the mysterious murder ot Miss Kaye, received reports ot nightly visits by icst motor cars 10 Konmey Marsh, and it is believed tliat these cars are engaged in smuggling. Cross-channel aeroplanes are being subjected to cioso searching at the Tyinpne aerodrome.
