WANGANUI PRESBYTERY.

81-MONTHLY MEETING. The regular bi-moithly meeting of tlie Wanganui Presbytery was held yesterday, when the moderator, Rev. Thomas Miller, M.A. (Feilding), presided. A welcome was extended by the Moderator to the Rev John Johnstone, the newlyinducted minister at Gonville, who was introduced to the Presbytery by the Rev. Kennedy. Mr Johnstone responded in a happy vein. Rev. G. T. Brown read tho correspondence relative to the negotiations between Rev. Wm. Ritchie and the beneficiary fund committee, and tho following motion was carried: That the committee set up to deal with this matter be thanked for their report, and that they be. asked to keep in touch with Mr Ritchie for further negotiations.

Rev. J. H. Bredin moved that the summer school be held this year in Wanganui, and that the ministers of Wanganui and Westmere with their-representative elders be a committee to make arrangements, Rev. John Paterson, M.A., to act as convener.
