THE EASTBOURNE MURDER. DEFINITE CHARGE MADE. By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received May 7, 9.45 a.m. , LONDON, Maj 6. Events are moving rapidly in connection with the Eastbourne bungalow mystery. The detectives this evening took Mahon, the man who was previously detained, to Eastbourne, where they made a definite charge. The police say that the victim, who was aged 28 years, had been living at a woman's club in the West End of London.- She was identified by means of a skirt found in the bungalow. Her club mates says that Miss Kaye was a pretty, sweet-nat Bred girl, wildly happy over her prospective marriage. She was never visited by men and tennis was her chief hoiby. A motor driver and other people of Eastbourne are emphatic that there was a second dark woman, whose soubriquet was "The Countess." jMahon's mother is living at Liverpool. Mahon has been living with his wife and daughter at Richmond. He is an Irishman and a well-known member of the MidSurrey Bowling Club. The Daily Express states : Mr de Beilby, veterinary surgeon of Ilailsham, near Eastbourne, says that the correct name of the dead woman, portions of whose remains were found in an unoccupied bungalow, is Emily Beilby Kayo. She was his cousin and her parents died when she was a child. Emily spent a holiday of three weeks in August with Beilby and his wife and also wrote from her club frequently. Deilby was surprised to receive a letter three weeks ago, saying that she was engaged and intended to be married in Capetown, where her fiancee had obtained a post. Beilby wrote immediately, asking her, to visit him before her departure, but he received no reply.—A. and N.Z. cable.
