PREMIER’S SERVICES.
FARMERS’ UNION RESOLUTION. (Per Pres* Association.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 30. The New Zealand Farmers’ Union’s executive unanimously adopted a motion by Messrs Poison and C. Anderson “that tho executive welcomes the return of the Prime Minister and expresses appreciation of his valuable services in the cause of Empire, realising his sincerity and patriotio desire to draw closer the bonds of Empire.” Mr Poison, in moving the resolution, expressed the conviction that the Labour Party in Britain and New Zealand was employing the “soft pedal”’ to induce the people to trust them arid give them power, but their objectives were purely socialism. He warned the small farmers against tho attempts of the Labour Party to capture their support.
