LEVIN CARNIVAL. Competitors from all parts of the Manawatu district journeyed to Levin yesterday to compete in the local swimming club’s carnival, at which was decided the Manawatu 100 yards championship.' This race resulted in a win for W. Harrison, of Foxton, who covered the distance in 67 l-ssecs., thus breaking the record for the race, 69 3-ssecs., established by V. Edwards at Woodville last yec* - . Several members of the Palmerston North club achieved success. The detailed results are as follow :—IOO yards.—Final: R. Brewer (19sees), 1; A. Fuller (13secs), 2; K. Adams (l7secs), 3. Time 82 4-5. 75 yards, pairs race: Miss Turner and C. Harrison (3secs), 1: Miss Noble and Mclntosh (ser), 2; Miss Gibson and L. Cockcroft, Palmerston North (ser), 3. , • 100 yards Manawatu championship. — W. Harrison, Foxton, 1: R. McIntosh, Feilding, and C. W. Farnall, Pahiatua, dead heat, 2. Time 1-5. Harrison won easily.
