S leep values are showing signs of advan :e owing to the rains of last week effecting an improvement in pastures (says the Wanganui Chronicle). Prices at Wednesday’s sale were considerably firmer than the ruling rates of previous local sales. 11 is understood (states a Wellington telegram) that the charges of alleged defalca* tions against Victor H. Coull and Frank Hodgins, generally known as the Repatriatior Department cases, will be heard at Christchurch, probobly early in March. Both the accused were employed in the Reparation Utfi;e, Wellington, after the war, and when the oases were heard there the juries disagreed.
