DEFENSIVE ALLIANCE.
ITALY AND JUGO-SLAVJA. Received Januarv 30, 9.30 a.m. ROME, Jan. 23. Besides settling the Fiume question, the ltalo-Jugo-Slav treaty establishes a mutual defensive alliance in . the event of invasion or threatened invasion by another State or States. Provision is also made for common action in the event of an economio war being directed against either country.— A. and N.Z. cable.
