A RECORD GATHERING.
KEENLY' CONTESTED EVENTS.
Tho 24th annual sports' gathering of the Mangatainoka Amateur Athlotiec Society was hold on Boxing Day on the Mangatainoka Domain. Tho attendance constituted a record, the gate takings totalling J 067 18s 6d. The- gathering was conducted in a splendid manner. Tho various officials discharged their duties in an expeditious manner, and tho secretary, Mr D. W, Wilton, was complimented upon tho excellent arrangements. Results of the chief' flat and cycling events were as follow:
