PLUCKY RESCUE.

A plucky rescue was effected in the Maitai river by Richard Washbourn, the thirteen-year-old son of Dr. H. E. A. Washbourn, who dived for and rescued D. Kenning, a fully-grown man, who had gone down for the last time.
