OPERATIC SOCIETY.
“THE GEISHA” SEASON, Up to five o’clock on Thursday evening over one thousand seats had been booked for “The Geisha” season. This must be considered satisfactory, seeing that the plans had only been available for two and a-half days. A committee meeting of the society wak held last evening to receive progress reports regarding wardrobe and scenery, etc. Everything is now well forward and a creditable presentation of the opera is assured. The box plans have had to be extended by the opening up of additional orchestral rows for three nights,
