PNEUMONIC INFLUENZA.
CASES IN THE SOUTH.
(Per Press Association.) CHIUSTCHUIICH, July 18. During tho past 24 hours 19 fresh cases of pneumonic influenza have been reported to the health officer, being 12 in the city, two in Amberley, three in Tiinaru and one each in bPr"JB- - and Kanieri (West Coast). Ihe health officer, however, regards the epidemic as well in hand. The continuous wet weather is retarding the recovery of the patients. POSITION AT OAMARU. OAMARU, July 18. Influenza in a milder form is becoming very prevalent here. The Girls High School was to-day closed owing to three teachers and a number of pupils suffering from the complaint.
