J. Small, president of the Wellington provincial district of the Dairy Farmers' Union, wrote to the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. W. F. Massey, last week asking if it would be possible to obtain modifications of the proposed measure. A letter from the Premier lias since been received by Mr Small. in which Mr Massey states: "The provisions of the bill will be made public when it is introduced into Parliament. I regret to say I am unable at the moment to advise you as to what date the measure will be brought down, as the programme of legislation for the session has not yet been definitely settled, and in any case a good deal will depend upon the progress made in the House."
