FATALITIES AT PETROGRAD
By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received June 1, 11.45 ami. HELSINGFORS, -May 31. The Pctrograd Opera ilou.so was burned during a performance last night. The origin is not clear, but it is supposed a performer’s dress became ignited and that the llaracs spread to the scenery. Although the safety curtain was lowered, the audience panicked and many were killed and a largo number injured.—A. aud N.Z. cable.
