THE YARRA TRAGEDY.
OPENING OF THE INQUEST. Received March 1, 12.15 p.m. MELBOURNE, March 1. The coroner’s inquiry into the Yarra tragedy has commenced. The relatives have so far been unable to identify the body as that of Bertha Goughian.— Press Association. [A decapitated body, believed to be that of Bertha Goughian, was found in a bag in the Yarra a few days ago, the head being found in a second bag. Subsequently Hannah Mitchell, Margaret Mitchell, and Margaret Milward were arrested, the first-named on a charge of murder, and the other two, with being accessories after the fact.]
