CABLE DELAYS REDUCED. QUESTION OP PRIVATE WIRELESS. By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received March 2, 9.65 a.m. LONDON, March 1. Replying to questions in the House of Commons, the Postmaster-General said that the cable delays within tire Empire had been greatly reduced. The cable companies, on completion of the new cable to the Far East, hoped to be able to offer a service as good as the pre-war service. The cabling charges had not increased since 1914. The Government was considering the question of allowing private enterprise to provide wireless communication within the Empire.—A. and N.Z. cable.
