NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW.
CONCLUDING DAY YESTERDAY. Favoured with propitious weather, the Inst day of tne 1922 National Dairy Show attracted an attendance which compared satisfactorily with the three preceding day,-, and the sum of £317 10s was collected at the gates. 9758 people being the estimated attendance. Throughout the day (he largo assembly found much of interest among the exhibits, whilst the sheep dog trials in the oval and tjie, Association football match were witnessed by large and appreciative crowds. In connection with the third sheep wcivhi-guessing, Mr D. ilnllingwovth, of J.otigimrn, estimated the weight correctly at 21911b5, whilst Mr A. R. Buchanan, of Kairauga, guessed the weight at a quarter ol abound above the exact figure. It is interesting to note that though members’ and privilege tic-ken were- used to a greater extent this year than at the lest show, the total admission receipts were £1 11s 3d above the total of 1921. It will thus'be seen that the. attendance in respect of the lour days was coii-itlerabh greater than that at tile preceding Winter Show, The following table, showing the receipts for each of the four day.- compared with last years figures. is ot in tvrest: 1922 1921 £ a. d. £ s. d.
