BANANA INDUSTRY.
PRIVILEGES FOR INDIANS. Received June ‘24, noon. BRISBANE, June 24. The Executive Council has exempted from the operations of the Banana industry Preservation Act ail British subjects of any Indian native race who wore lawfully domiciled in Queensland in 1921, and who continuously remained so. _ i The Minister of Agriculture declined to say whether the action was the result of Mr Sastri’s intervention, but it is regarded as significant that Mr Sastri sought such in a speech in the Assembly. —Press Association.
