POULTRY CLUBS.

ANNUAL MEETINGS. WYANDOTTE FANCIERS. The annual meeting of the Now Zealand Wyandotte Club was held at the Showgrounds yesterday morning, Mr J. Jarvis presiding. The annual report announced that iMt and Mrs W. J. Mawkes, now of Auckland, had handed the president a silver cup be awarded to the best bird of opposite sex to the champion. Ihe champion am Mawkes cups, the New Plymouth Shield for silver Wyandot les and the one l<n whites were last year awarded to J. I nick. No other member had ever been so successful at one show. LEGHORN CLUB. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Leghorn Club (North Island) was held yesterday. Mr J. Cimuinghamc presided. The meeting passed votes of thanks to tile oliicers for their work during the year, and also thanked the A. and P. Association [or the use of buildings. The, election of oliicers resulted: President, Mr U Jarvis (Palmerston North); vice-presidents, Messrs W. F. Stent (Tailuipe), J. (,'unningluune (Palmerston Nor(h), D. Stewart (Normandy). W. Scott (Now Plymouth), J. Nixon, \\. J. Mawkes (Auckland); treasurer, Mr J. Cun* niiighiune; council, .Messrs C. P. Robert, IT Evans, T. Bruce. C. J. Bryant. it was stated that the Collinson and Cunninghania Challenge Shield having been won outright the linn had again presented a shield, and the meeting carried a hearty vote of thunks to them for their generous spirit. The annual report suited that in numbers of entries the 1921 competition was the lav si that had been held since the inception of the club. The principal failing of the last two years had been in American whites; hitherto in front in numbers, they had for years held Iho premier position against all other varieties. There had been at all shows during the last few years a very large increase of entries in the utility classes. The Collinson and Cunninghainc Shield for the best: English Leghorn was awarded to J. Aubrey, Tariki: the one for American whites to J. LTlick, Ilawera, and the utility one to T. Bruce, Palmerston North. The balance-sheet as at March 1, 1922, disclosed that the surplus of assets over liabilities totalled £4B 4s 9d, while the cash in hand amounted to £l4 19s 9d.
