NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW.

AGRICULTURAL CLASS EXHIBIT. One of the most unique exhibits is Unit of the Palmerston North Boys’ High School agricultural class. This comprises displays of instruments and natural objects for ihe purpose of demonstrating the sciences underlying agriculture. The exhibits are attractively set out and reflect credit upon the school. An apparatus for estimating the densities of liquids, another for calculating the rate at which water passes through various forms of soil, scicnlilic devices to show the effect of acids and alkalies oil each and (lie compatibility of fertilisers are among the many interesting and instructive items on display. Cabinets and other woodwork articles occupy a prominent position and go to show how the pupils in this class are (aught to work in a practical way in addition to learning the theory. Products of the pupils’ la hour in the school plots, make a good .showing and the exhibition is a pleasing one. HONEY. In the opinion of an expoit, the honey exhibited was poorer than that of last year. Generally, it was one of the weakest divisions in the show.
