MR. McCIRR’S CHARGES.

NOT SUBSTANTIATED. SYDNEY, June 19. Denials are given To the earlier reports that the Labour Conference Committee’s findings favoured Mr McGirr’s charges. It is now stated that the charges were not substantiated, that four of the ex-Mblister: voted against the continuance of the basic wage, and that the caucus voted against it. Other charges made by Mr McGirr were also found not proved. The report adds that “the coirynittec exhaustively inquired into the allegation that Air Storey (exPrernier) was inclined to form a coalition with iho Nationalists, and unhesitatingly declares that there is not the slightest justification for the charge, which is a grave slander on a man universally respected.” The committee added that the dispute occurred (luring a time of great stress, when Air McGht probably thought his colleagues wore not acting rightly, and recommended tliiii strong measures should be taken to avoid similar disputes in future.— Press Association.
