BITTER PILL FOR MINERS. Received June 14, 11.30 a.m. SYDNEY, June 14. Tho income tax is regarded as a bitter pill by (he coal miner-, many of whom are! workless owing - to slackness of trade. An application was, made to the Stale Treasurer on behalf of tin- Miners' federation to exempt unemployed members from the tax, The application was refused.— Press Association.
