PRICES OF COTTON.
SHARP ADVANCE REPORTED. Received June 13, S a.in. NEW YORK, June 10. The cotton market liero and at New Orleans underwent great excitement and activity when cotton advanced during the past week between 100 and 247 points, more than 12 dollars per bale. This was the result of heavy rains in the cotton districts and a veritable
“ boll weevil plague.” Reports persist that the crop will be one of the shortest in history.—A. and N.Z. cable.
