QUESTION OF GHEAIISTS’ SHOPS. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Juno 13. Mr Hunt, S.AL. delivered judgment to-day in Die case in which Cox Gordon was charged by Dio Pharmacy iioatd with using the word “clicmisf,” not being a registered chemist within Dio meaning of tho Act. Gordon is Die proprietor of several bating in charge of each a duly enrolled chemist its manager. The name of the manage) was on tho door, hut nowhere on iho shop was defendant's name. Tho Alapstralo said Dial- the Act allowed defendant Lo do as he was doing. The mischief Dial Die Act was intended to prevent was Dim ol an unqualified man using the word chemist ” us applicable to himseh. Hie case was dismissed and costs wete allowed.
