A local resident yesterday afternoon brought in the “Standard” office a freak of nature in the form of a full-grown seagull without any legs. The bird was picked up on the .Manawatu river bed yesterday afternoon. How it managed to fend for itself is ratber a mystery. The finder intends to present the specimen to the Palmerston North Philosophical Society for mounting in the museum.
