MURRAY BRIDGE GREW.
sss MAY CO TO U.S.A. , ADELAIDE, Mav 27.
The proposal to semi the Murray Bridge crew to England has been abandoned delinilely, but the eonimiitee .formed to further Hitch a project will be kept, intact, as inquiries will be made in America and England regarding the possibility of any international rowing contests being ln;ld there. Among the suggestions under consideration are those of sending a challenge to America;' with the idea that the best English crew available should be invited to meet Murray Bridge in America, of raising funds to send the Australian champions to the Olympic Games in 1924, and of the crew going to New Zealand for a contest, as> the crews from the Dominion have asserted that Murray Bridge there would meet their Waterloo. In 1920 the Murray Bridge crew received an invitation from the United States.
