On Sal unlay afternoon Iho Wbakaronga School girls played a return basket hall game with the local school girls, the re,mill being a win for the local girls by two points lo nil. 'I he visitors were entertained at afternoon tea under the supervision of .Mrs Nairn, and afterwards a number of ihein visited the Domain. The game of basket ball appears lo be very suitable for girls, : providing plenty of healthy exercise witb--1 our any roughness. | Owing to short notice Ihe meeting called I by the Dairy Farmers' Onion for Saturday ! night was not very well attended. Those ; present, however, elected Air W. .Mills to the chair, and Air Fear gave an outline of j the daily farmers’ platform. Several questions were satisfaetoriiy answered and Air j .Mills was appointed lo make arrangements ior another meeting next Saturday evening, when it is expected there will be a larger attendance.
