DUMPED INTO AUSTRALIA, BRISBANE, June !). A deputation representing the Queensland Timber Protection League asked the Tariff Board for an increase of duty on case timber and timber cut to sizes for making boxes. A member of the deputation stated that American companies were dumping'timber into Australia at a loss of 20 per cent. If relief was not granted, tho case mills would bo compelled to close, The deputation later saw Mr Hughes, who agreed that a strong case had been made out.
