FLIGHT TO NORTH ROLE.
AMUNDSEN TO MAKE ATTEMPT,
ALASKA TO NORTH GREENLAND. By Electric Telegraph,—Copyright. Received June 10, 8.60 a.m. LONDON, June 9. Amundsen, writing to the Times, announces his intention to attempt to fly to the North Role this summer. He expects to start from Alaska and cross the Pole, making for Northern Greenland. He will bo using an entirely metal Larson plane, piloted by a leading Norwegian airman, named G. Omdal. Amundsen will leave the Maud at Port Harrow lor the attempt, which ho experts to accomplish in 15 hours. — Times.
