RUGBY FOOTBALL.

TO-MORROWS MATCHES,

The draw for the cup competitions of tho Manawatu Rugby Union is an interesting one and it is quite likely that the lead in the championship tables may be somewhat altered as a result of the matches set down for to-morrow. At present the Redding team has notched two wins, being the only team with four points to its credit, and how long this position will he retained remains to be seen. Whatever the results of tomorrow’s matches may be, the championship will ho very interesting, and further surprises can bo looked for as the season advances. Alost teams should certainly improve with play, especially Kia Toa, Old Hoys and the Eeilding lit teen. Old Hoys, on the standard of play against Western United last Saturday, are certainly expected to give a good display against tin' amber and blacks, and the game will certainly attract a record gathering. Roth teams are light and full of dash and do constant gymnasium and training exercise. One of the best club games for many a year can be expected by Rugby supporters. On No. 2 ground Kia Toa will meet R.S.A. This match should prove interesting as the ex-soldiers have been practising hard to make amends for their defeat at" the hands of Woodville last Saturday week. The Kia Toa team can be looked upon to keep tho soldiers busy. In the junior games at 1.30 p.m., Linton is matched against Rohangina, and High School against Kia Toa. and it will bo no easy task to select (he winners. Tho Linton team is certainly playing good football this season, and with a little further training should he knocking hard at the final of the championship. There are eight games to he played on the Showgrounds to-morrow and the patrons of the national pastime are well catered for at least three hours. ( One very striking feature is tho interest taken by the ladies, who attend in great force each week. Players' arc again reminded that they cannot obtain admission to tho grounds without their passes. TEAMS FOR TO-MORROW.
