Mr J. 0 then, Wellington City solicitor, hus suffered a breakdown in health and lias to take a long rest. Mr Charles E. Sligo, leader-writer of the J\ew Zealand Herald, Auckland, has been appointed editor of die Brisbane Daily Mail, in succession to Mr W. Farmer Whyte, who is now editor of the Sydney Daily Telegraph.
