LOCAL HEADSTONES READY.

The secretary of the Palmerston North R.S.A. has received the following letter from Mr J. Hislop, Under-Secretary ot the War Graves Division of the Department of Internal Affairs: “I have to inform you that headstones for war grates in the Palmerston North cemtery have been completed in accordance _ with the original specifications, but as it has now been decided to allow the age to be lettered on the stones where the relations so desire, it will be necessary to write the relatives in each case and have the necessary lettering done. When this is completed the stones will bo forwarded to you.” There are about a dozen headstones for Palmerston North.
