SOCIAL FUNCTIONS.
About 70 members of Courts Manawalu, Loyal Feilding and Pohangina assembled at the Foresters’ Hall on Wednesday even ing, where they were entertained tit a social by tint oliicers of f onrl Manawalu. Thu proceedings (over which the (..IT, Pro. j), W. Cox, presided) commenced with a supper, the tables for which wete abundantly supplied with eatables of all descriptions. Alter justice had been done to tins repast, a- lengthy toast list was entered upon, and each one was bottomed in real Foresters’ style. Ihe toast list was opened by the chairman, who proposed that of the King, •which was loyally honoured, after which the following were proposed and responded to:— -he Wellington District of A.0.F.,” by P.L.K. Ihe evening (which was one of (he most enjoyable held in connect ion with Forestry fur some Line) was brought to a close m the early bouts with the .singing of Atthl Lang Syne.
