TRAVELLERS’ CONFERENCE.

At ilu co.iiniotvial travellers' conference the j cporl received on the work done during the vear on behalf of blinded soldiers and sailers showed that there was a balance of £,3700 in hand and £670 had been recently received trout the ( anterbury Association, the proceeds oi I lie benefit trotting meeting. The trustees had assisted nine of the 24 blind men, and (he association hal a representative in every place where there was a blind soldier or sailor. win> saw that the man lacked nothing. The Ancient Order of Druids had £6OO in hand ear-marked for the benefit of those blinded on service, and the association had applied for the money its it was the only fund apart from the National War bunds. The council was authorised to act tor the men. |i was decided, that the ( anterbnry Association should he represented on the hoard of trustees. .Mr Thompson (Auckland) was elected president, and it was agreed (hal the next conference be held in Auckland _________
