ANTI-DUMPING BILL.

In the. House of, Commons to-day Mr Cecil Harmsworth admitted that the French Government had represented that the. British Anti-dumping Bill was likely to''prejudice French exports, to which Britain had replied pointing out that France recently introduced an increased tariff, aimed at safeguarding French industries from countries having depreciated exchanges. Colonel J. G. Wedgewood said if an Anglo-French tariff war threatens, let ns publish all the correspondence. Mr Cecil Harmsworth stated that there was no prospect of a tariff war. —A, and N.Z. cable.
