This means in effect that New Zealand is to fall into line with tho operations of the B.A.W.R.A. Tho conference suggested that a fully accredited representative should be sent itb Melbourne at once to confer with the Australian directors of the association, and it is likely that this representative will 'leave New Zealand within tho next few'daya. The fixing of minimum reserves will bo undertaken after the negotiations with, 8.A.W.R.A.. have produced an .effective, arrangement,; The Government was asked by the conference to prohibit in the meantime private sales as well as auction f-alos of wool in New Zealand. The Government has power to prohibit private sales, but it •nay not think action necessary in view of tho condition of the wool market. The suspension of auction sales has already been arranged by the wool-brokers.
