It was decided 1 that owners of stock found wandering on county roads at night would bo prosecuted without- further- notice. TRAMWAY REPORT. Tho tramway manager reported as follows:—The chief items-of traffic, were: Minerals and manure. 196 a tons,,- grain 94, tons, cheese and butter:-71-tons,-sheep 58 trucks, merchandise 48 tons and timber 33,600 feet. Tho fares . amounted to £4 13s 4d. Locomotives: The repairs to the "G" class locomotive wore completed early ,in the month and the'engine is at present in work. Rails: Under instruction from the chairman I went to Auckland on' tho 15th'■'ult. and examined the 401 b rails tinder offer to the Council. 1 succeeded in purchasing 21 tons 9cwt. lqr. at £24 per ton, and 10 tons 12cwt. lqr. at £22 per ton, f.0.r., Auckland.
