ANGLICAN BOYS' HOMES' SOCIETY.
An appeal made to Mr McMillan, of Koputaroa, for help to raise money for the rehousing fund of the above Society elicited from him three benefit picture shows, at each, of which he was accorded a hearty vote of thanks by acclamation on the proposal of the organising financial secretary. The following amounts resulted—Shannon on 31st March, £l3 14?; Otaki Ist April, £l3 17s; Tokomaru, 2nd KM, £9 Is. The N.Z. Picture Supplies, Ltd generously made no charge for the films and the staffs at all theatres mado trifling or no charges, and no rent was charged for the theatres.
