LABOUR CRISIS IN ENGLAND.
Received April 4, 1,60 p.m. LONDON, April 5. . Air Cramp (president of tlie National Railwaymcn’s Union) .■speaking at Birmingham, said the committee of the railwayman were deeply impressed by the miners’ case. What was' the fate of the miners to-day might be that of the railwuymen to-mor-row. If labour was defeated in detail the different sections would lose confidence in each other. “I say frankly,” he added, “h we arc assured that we could achieve solid success wo would not hesitate to force a strike. But I do not believe that the rath waymen alone lighting with the miners could achieve success, because it would be absolutely accessary to stop all forms .transport, but the railwayman, miners and transporters should be successful,. so they thought they ought to have a shot, at- it. —A. and.
